hina is by far Austria’s greatest trading partner in Asia, said

Bilateral trade between China and Austria reached $6.4 billion in the first eight months of la

st year, up 20 percent year-on-year, according to the Foreign Ministry. As of August 2018, China has app

roved 1,288 investment projects from Austria, with an actual investment of $2.08 billion, signed 2,263 technology im

port contracts with Austria, with a cumulative contract value of $6.23 billion and directly invested $880 million in Austria.

“I’m pleased that a group number of Austrian companies got the chance to take part in the construction of winter sports

facilities and to provide the expertise for organizing great sports events like the Olympics,” Stift said.

“We are trying hard to get more Austrian ski instructors and traine

rs to China and the greater number of Chinese winter sports tourists to Austria”.

Besides winter sports, Austria is one of the most favorite travel destinations for Chinese tourists for is beautiful landsc

ape, food and shopping. “The growth rate, especially in winter tourism has been phenomenal the last few years,” said Glatz.

“Winter is a season when Chinese tourists should go to Austria to experi

ence a very different landscape from what they would see during the dry months in the summer months,” added Glatz.

The number of Chinese tourists in Australia might reach one million this year, said Stift.

Xuelong’s northward route had been repeatedly revised

and thus successfully averted gales and huge waves as high as 8 meters, according to the weatherman aboard the ship, Wang Lei.

For example, with no ice areas in Prydz Bay to shelter the ship, Xuelong had to de

part from Zhongshan one day earlier than scheduled in order not be blocked by a whole gale and huge waves. After

leaving the bay, it was first headed northwest to the marine-based west Antarctic ice sheet.

”Then a strong cyclone is moving to us and its resulting waves will block our way to north,” Wang said.

Due to the weather, Xuelong chose to sail westward at the edge of the westerlies to reach a haven area between two moving

cyclones, where it had spent two days before huge waves again blocked its way northward.

”After that, Xuelong had spent about 20 hours in waters east to the Kerguelan Is

lands in order to stay away from the winds and waves on Wednesday,” Shen said.

This tape leaves no question as to whether R. Kelly is gui

multiple sexual, illegal acts against a 14-year-old girl,” he told reporters Friday. He said Foxx’s investigation was “very thorough … dedicated and methodical.”

CNN has seen the VHS tape, which is 42 minutes and 45 seconds, clear and explicit

. It appears to show Kelly having sex with a girl who refers to her body parts as 14 years old.

In a news conference Friday, his attorney told reporters he did not know what was

on the tape.Greenberg brought a point of contention to one of the cases in the indictment.

”One of the charges appears to involve the same alleged victim from the earlier case and double jeopardy should bar that case,” he said.

Kelly has been associated with accusations of abuse, manipulation and inappropr

iate encounters with girls and young women for more than two decades. He has strongly denied the accusations.

What is on the latest video mirrors some of the alleged acts for which Kelly was arrest

ed in a child pornography case in 2002 when he was 35 and then acquitted six years later.

He has been sued by multiple women accusing him of having sex with them when they w

ere underage. Most cases, with the exception of the trial where he was acquitted, have been settled out of court.

When he addressed the UN General Assembly in 2018

Trump claimed his administration had achieved “more than almost any administration in the history of the country” — and was met with open laughter.

National security adviser John Bolton, a former ambassador to the UN under President George W. Bush, was openly hosti

le toward the UN during his 2005 to 2006 tenure. The Trump administration has cut US contributions to the UN,

pulled out of several of UN organizations and opposed core UN-backed initiatives in

recent years, including the Paris Agreement on climate and the Iran nuclear deal.

Trump had wanted a woman to lead the US delegation at the United Nations, so

urces have told CNN. His original pick, Nauert, bowed out after it came to light tha

t she had employed a nanny who was legally present in the US, but wasn’t legally permitted to work.

The post, which had been a Cabinet level position under Haley, is widely expected to be downgraded.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had told aides he wanted the post downgra

ded after Haley leaves, an official familiar with his remark has told CNN. And Bolt

on has also been said to want the role downgraded, according to people familiar with his thinking.

The shift means Craft would wield less clout than her predecessor, both at the UN and within the administration, and as a r

esult, would pose nowhere near the challenge to Bolton or Pompeo.

Maduro sees the opposition-led plan as a trap, and has

rejected the humanitarian aid it would bring in. Accepting foreign supplies during the curren

t political crisis would be tantamount to accepting foreign political intervention, from Maduro’s point of view.

When the US sent a shipment of medical and food supplies to the Venezuelan border last we

ek, Maduro’s regime installed a blockade on one of the bridges that connect Venezuela and Colombia.

Just a week ago on state television, Maduro dismissed Guaido’s init

iative, saying “Venezuelans are not beggars.” But patriotism did not prevent Maduro fro

m accepting $9 million from the UN in November 2018.It’s hard to see how the opposition, which controls little real p

ower on the ground in Venezuela, can guarantee that aid will enter the country by Sunday.

While Guaido has described a “human wave” of volunteers heading to the b

order to carry supplies, very few aid professionals have lifted their hands to join in the effort.

Tiny tyrannosaur fossil discovery changes the dinosaur timeline

yrannosaurus rex wasn’t always the king of the dinosaurs. Before they became towering predators, tyrannosaurs star

ted out much smaller, and a newly discovered fossil is helping fill the gap between those two extremes.

The fossil findings are detailed in a study published Thursday in Communications Biology.

The dinosaur fossil was found in Utah, where it lived 96 million years ago in a lush delta during the Cretaceous period. It’s been

named Moros intrepidus, which means “harbinger of doom.” The dinosaur lived at the end of th

e allosaurs’ reign at the top of the food chain and before Tyrannosaurus rex arrived.

It’s now the oldest tyrannosaur from the Cretaceous period found in North America.

Medium-size tyrannosaur fossils have been found from the Jur

assic period, about 150 million years ago. And then, about 81 million years ago during the

Cretaceous, tyrannosaurs grew into giant predators and replaced allosaurs as the top of the food chain.

Pelosi urges members to back resolution terminating

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi urged members of Congress on Wednesday to bac

k a resolution halting the national emergency declared by President Donald Trump to fund a border wall.

Pelosi’s call to action comes as the White House plows ahead on transferring federal funds not contingent on Trump’s declara

tion toward building a wall along the southern border, despite already facing several lawsuits.

”I write to invite all Members of Congress to cosponsor Congressman Joaquin Castro’s priv

ileged resolution … to terminate this emergency declaration using the termination mechanism within the

National Emergencies Act,” the California Democrat wrote in a letter to her colleagues.

”All Members take an oath of office to support and defend the Constitution,” Pelosi added. “The P

resident’s decision to go outside the bounds of the law to try to get what he failed to achieve in the const

itutional legislative process violates the Constitution and must be terminated. We have a solemn responsibility to up

hold the Constitution, and defend our system of checks and balances against the President’s assault.”

The statement made no reference to Britain’s decision to

leave the European Union, and Honda CEO Takahiro Hachigo said in Tokyo that the decision was not rel

ated to Brexit.
But uncertainty concerning Britain’s future trading relationship with its bigg

est export market is one of the big clouds hanging over the car industry.
Brexit backdrop

Christian Stadler, an autos expert and professor of strategic management at Warw

ick Business School, said that Brexit “must have been a factor” in Honda’s decision.

“Companies from Japan and other countries were attracted to Britain because it gave them easier entry to the luc

rative European market, through an English speaking country. At the moment, there is no deal in place to co

ntinue that after Brexit,” he said.
“The United Kingdom will not be able to strike better trade deals than it currently has

before it leaves the European Union, so it starts to look like a less attractive place to build cars,” said Stadler.

They now work with over 100 different suppliers from across

The Oak Room is Adare’s fine-dining option, housed inside a stunningly renovated oak-pa

A six-course, prix-fixe menu with wine pairing will set guests back €250 (ab

Tipperary quail with salsify and bacon, or 24-hour-cooked Dexter beef with truffles and morel mushrooms. A

Guests are treated to a selection of four petite sandwiches, including local salmon and ham; freshly baked scones with

clotted cream; and five different desserts like a tiramisu “shot” filled with coffee jelly and mascarpone mousse.

The room itself is also mighty impressive: based on the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles

it’s 132 feet long with gargantuan marble fireplaces and walls decorated with hand-carved Bible scenes.

Moreover, in January, financial data continued its trend of

structural optimization from the previous month, which is reflected by the pickup in medium

and long-term lending and the continuous increase in bond financing. Looking ahead, such structural improvement is likely to co

ntinue, further boosting the supportive role of “loose credit supply” in “stabilizing growth.”

From the external perspective, the following three factors are expected to support the Chinese

yuan’s exchange rate to regain long-term stability, thus enhancing the autonomy of China’s monetary policy.

First, developed economies have slowed their pace of tightening. Since the end of 2018, due to the stalling global recovery and

signs of a returning crisis, central banks of various developed economies have become more cautious toward the no

rmalization of monetary policy. The European Central Bank, the Bank of England, and the Reserve Bank of Australia successively lowered their fo

recast for economic growth. In the US, the dovish voice inside the Fed has gradually increased. Because of this, si

nce late January, the yield inversion of short-term government bonds in China and the US has been eased. Thus, despite the

monetary policy differentiation between China and other major developed economies, the degree of d

ivergence is expected to decline, weakening the long-term pressure on the yuan’s exchange rate.
