The suspect of Saturday’s synagogue shooting in San Diego, C
alifornia, has been identified as 19-year-old John Earnest, authorities said.
The suspect has no prior contact with law enforcement, said San Diego Sheriff Bill Gore.
Authorities are aware of an online manifesto that Earnest wrote, and are looking
into digital evidence and checking the authenticity of the document, according to Gore.
“We are serving search warrants for the suspect’s home, car and the Ch
abad of Poway,” he said, adding that officials are checking Earnest’s possible involvement in the
arson and vandalism of mosque in Escondido, a city northeast of downtown San Diego.

In overseas ventures, insurance gives firms a sure footing
Overseas investment inevitably means risks and uncertainties for Chinese comp
anies, but many have started using insurance services to help control and reduce risks.
“Chinese companies face new situations while investing overseas, namely that global politi

“So while going abroad, Chinese companies need to i

Mozambique’s President, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, had long nursed ambitions of one day seeing a bridge lin
king Maputo city center and Katembe, and when it was finally opened in November he said it wou
ld greatly facilitate transport and connectivity between Mozambique and other parts of Africa.
Wang said the bridge will give great economic stimulus to Katembe, long underdeveloped because of its poor tran
sport access. It also eases demographic pressures on Maputo, a city with a population of 1.7 million.
Katembe rose, and industrial parks are being planned in the region,” Wang said. “So the bridge will deliver huge economic benefits.”
The project also benefits China. For example, as Mozambique is short of construction materials and equipment, the p
roject has driven the export of more than 70,000 metric tons of steel products and equipment worth $68 million from China.
Even though CRBC was no stranger to building bridges when it took
on the Maputo-Katembe project, particular difficulties were presented by the fact that
both countries have different evaluation systems and standards of construction, Wang said.
The bridge was designed to Chinese standards but subjected to local and European standards, and the company g
ot a German engineering services provider, Gauff, to oversee the project’s quality.

An action plan has been introduced to tighten water consumption as part of high-quality development moves, which aims to improve
efficiency in the use of natural resources and better protect the environment while boosting economic growth.
By 2020, water consumption per 10,000 yuan ($1,487) of GDP is expect

In addition, China’s overall water consumption will be constrained within 670 billion c

China has a water shortage, the commission said on its website
. Each year, the country faces a shortfall of 50 billion cu m of fresh water. In the mea

In 2017, water consumption per $10,000 in GDP was 500 cu m, 66.6 perce

China’s water resource per capita is only one-third of the world’s aver
